You can see it here as well as Hanley's other clips, but one thing all great hitters do is they walk their hands back a little (maybe 3-6 inches) as their foot starts to work forward. This puts a lots of stretch on the abs and lats and sets up a tremendous amount of tension that leads to a whip like affect on your arms/wrists/bat head. Get up, grab a bat, mimic that mechanic and try to see if you can feel the that stretch/tension. you have to feel these things to understand it and do it yourself. I would say this one movement is worth 3-5 MPH in batspeed by itself.
