Notice how much even light hitting David Eckstein loads at 6 seconds and what I love is how much angle separation he has at 10 seconds between his hips (which are already turned 45 degrees) and his shoulders which are still square. Even the singles hitters employ most of this stuff.
For hitters who don't have power the little things that Ryan mention are key. Thats why Eckstein has been able to stick around the league. He doesn't strike out a lot and he makes the plays in the field.
